Loved our stay, had great 8 days overall. Hopefully the room was well laid out with bathroom. An oven, kitchenware, and a washing machine were provided. The setting was incredible, right by the beach, town, marina, and cafes.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were kind of rude.

The room was modern clean and well equipped. The little touches of tea, coffee, milk, dishwasher and washing powder when we arrived was very thoughtful. The apartments are just one block away from the beach and the owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Our flight back to Sydney was later in the day and the owners allowed us to keep our apartment much later than the 10am check out time, which was perfect and allowed us another day in the beautiful sun and surroundings of Port Douglas. Would certainly recommend Beach Terraces.

The apartment for six was extremely spacious, it gave us all enough space to lounge, watch tv if we wanted or just sit out on the lovely terrace. The apartment had everything, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, great kitchen etc. We also made the most of the bbq facilities provided by the poolside.
Room service wasn't provided so towels were not changed during the week we were there. The room wasn't serviced at all which we felt was a great shame as this was the only thing that disappointed us.

Management immediately found us a better room upon arrival as we were not happy with damp smell in the room. The new room was excellent.
The 2 seater couch in the living room was very uncomfortable to sit on. Well past its use by date.

We expected good and it turned out fabulous. Spacious room to spare. The apartment inside included: beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen, modern smooth electric cooktop, baking oven (we used it once), microwave (used numerous days), very good full height refridgerator (used all days), toaster (used daily), washer/dryer with complementary soap (used once), wonderful comfortable separate bedroom opening to private balcony (used daily), spacious living room with large lcd tv and separate access to balcony (used daily), separate bathroom/laundry room with his&her sinks and nice shower stall (used daily), the layout within and among the rooms was great. Two different "inverter" (heat pump) air conditioners (bedroom/livingroom) that just plain worked great (used daily). Two overhead fans for air circulation. Outside: great underground parking (used daily), two different swimming pools, a quiet hideaway kind of feel to the landscaping with palm trees, outstanding access to downtown Port Douglas--dining, shopping, beach, and marina access to the outer reef cruises are all within easy walking distance (used often). Only about a block to a grocery store. It's only 75 feet to a great tropical beach with protected swimming. We both highly recommend this place!
We had to leave this beautiful place and return to ugly rainy cold wintertime in Seattle. The front office was sometimes closed during business hours. They have onsite WiFi but due low signal strength you may not get it to work from your room (I couldn't). But this is no big problem. There is a table down by the front office where the WiFi works fine (used several times).
